Becoming a Regular Hero – Reminders, Badges and Milestones
RedLife celebrates donors who give regularly and safely. Becoming a “regular hero” is about consistency with care, not donating too often.
To be a healthy regular donor:
· Respect the minimum interval between donations (commonly 3 months for whole blood).
· Monitor your own health and follow eligibility rules (age, weight, medical history).
· Listen to blood bank advice; if they ask you to take a break due to low hemoglobin or illness, follow it.
RedLife can help by:
· Tracking your donation dates.
· Suggesting your next eligible date based on guidelines.
· Sending gentle reminders when it is safe to consider donating again.
Badges and milestones in the app
To recognize your contribution, RedLife may use:
· Badges for first donation, 3 donations, 5 donations, 10 donations, etc.
· Streaks for donating regularly over multiple years (within safe limits).
· Special recognition for donors who respond during emergencies or support high‑need groups (e.g., O−, platelets, thalassemia support).
These features:
· Do not change your medical safety.
· Are simply a way to say “thank you” and motivate others.
You should never feel pressured to donate before you are healthy or eligible just to earn a badge.
Regular heroes can:
· Share their achievement badges (if they choose) on social media to promote voluntary donation culture.
· Encourage friends and family to sign up as donors.
· Help correct myths in their communities using RedLife’s Info Desk content.
Your consistent, safe participation has a big impact on the entire blood system.
