Generally, a properly indicated transfusion does not harm fertility. Many women:

·       Receive blood in pregnancy or after childbirth emergencies.

·       Go on to have further pregnancies without problems.

If you have special antibodies or rare blood types, your doctors may monitor future pregnancies more closely, but this is part of good care and does not mean you cannot have children.
