Will I feel pain or weakness after donating?

You may feel a small pinch or sting when the needle is inserted, which lasts a second or two. After that, most donors feel only mild discomfort or nothing at all while blood is being collected. The process itself is generally not painful.

After donation, some people feel completely fine. Others may feel:

·       Slight tiredness.

·       A bit light‑headed when standing quickly.

·       Mild soreness or bruising at the needle site.

These feelings are usually short‑lived and improve with:

·       Resting for 10–15 minutes at the blood bank.

·       Drinking extra water or juice.

·       Avoiding heavy exercise or lifting for the rest of the day.

If you follow the given advice, it is very unlikely that you will experience any lasting weakness.
