Volunteer Content Writer

The Volunteer Content Writer plays a crucial role in amplifying the RedLife Blood Donors Community's mission by crafting compelling articles, news updates, and patient stories for our website. This position involves producing 2-4 pieces per month, each 500-800 words, on topics such as the life-saving impact of blood donations, donor testimonials, health myths debunked, upcoming blood drives, and community success stories across Pakistan.

Content must be engaging, accurate, and optimized for SEO with keywords like "voluntary blood donation Pakistan" or "RedLife blood camp." The writer collaborates with the team to align on themes, gathers feedback for revisions, and ensures all materials inspire action while adhering to ethical storytelling guidelines, especially for sensitive patient narratives.

Ideal candidates bring prior experience in content creation, such as blogging, journalism, university newsletters, or social media writing, with a portfolio showcasing 3-5 health-related or nonprofit pieces. Familiarity with blood donation awareness, public health topics, or volunteering in Pakistan is a plus, along with basic skills in tools like Google Docs, Canva for visuals, and WordPress for posting.

Strong research abilities to verify facts from reliable sources (e.g., WHO guidelines or local health authorities) and sensitivity to cultural contexts in Islamabad are essential. Excellent English and Urdu writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex medical info for diverse audiences like students, families, and professionals, will ensure broad resonance.

This flexible, remote volunteer role offers immense satisfaction in saving lives through words, plus opportunities to build a portfolio, network with RedLife's university partners, and gain certificates for resumes. Commit to consistent monthly contributions and team meetings via WhatsApp or Zoom. Join us to turn stories of hope into a stronger donor community!
