Fatehjang Gets Major Health Boost New Dialysis Center and Blood Bank

Governor of Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haidar Khan, inaugurated two vital healthcare facilities the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Dialysis Center and a new blood bank at the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Fatehjang on Monday.

The inauguration ceremony underscored the Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) commitment to expanding and improving medical services, particularly in far-flung areas of the province. PPP Tehsil President Sardar Zaheer Khan and several local dignitaries also attended the event.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Saleem Haidar emphasized the immediate impact of the new services. He noted that the Dialysis Center will be a lifeline for a significant number of local kidney patients who previously endured arduous travel to Attock, Rawalpindi, or Islamabad for routine treatment. The newly established Blood Bank is specifically aimed at providing essential support to patients suffering from thalassemia.

Following the inauguration, the Governor met with dialysis patients. They expressed profound gratitude for the local facility, highlighting the immediate relief it provides by saving them considerable time and money previously spent on traveling long distances for care.

Governor Saleem Haidar further announced future healthcare expansion plans, including the establishment of both a Dialysis Center and a dedicated Mother and Child Health Care Unit at THQ Hospital Jand.
